Ubuntu XSane + Canon FB630U = Pink Scan

Hello

I am using Sane (or XSane) on my Mac with a FB630U Scanner from Canon. But whem im scanning images they are pink!
At first i was using Sane with the MacOS frontend and thought. Hmm maybe its working in Linux so i booted into my Ubuntu.box and i get the same results.

Whats wrong with my scanning method?

The Sane homepage says that my scanner is well supported...
