I have a ZTE USM Modem from 3 Tre Italy, on the tre.it network.The modem worked fine for a month or so. Yesterday I recharged the SIM and the modem has stopped working after midnight.Earlier, the modem would indicate a red light, and then turn to green, blink a few times, and connect on its own.Now, it shows red, goes off, and then stays red constantly.I've tried putting the priginal PIN that came with the SIM into my Mobile Broadband settings in Network Manager to no avail.Can anyone help me? But recently i moved to Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit computer and after i installed the same linux drivers on the machine and try to start Join_Air application (the GUI application for the modem), it gives the following error. A friend gave me a ZTE Broadband (USB Wireless) that works fairly well in my XP partition. I decided that I wanted to try out 3 Mobile for mobile internet instead of the Vodafone connection I am using at present as they appear to have better coverage where I live. I've got a telstra MF 636 modem that I've been trying to make work in Ubuntu 10.10.Telstra have the modem report itself as a CD when it is first plugged in, but I've found out how to get around that using the terminal in the telstra software.Anyway, my problem is that the computer will not recognise that the modem is plugged in. lsusb reports it as there, but the access point does not appear under the network icon 99 percent of the time. On the rare occasion it does, I click it, and it tries to connect, with the little animation and all, but it just disconnects.If you need any more info, just

I have a mobile broadband connection using a ZTE MF622 USB dongle with Karmic as my OS. The dongle works well apart from a slight annoyance, it seems to be temperamental when connecting to the internet. Sometimes, I can connect on-line at the first attempt, but more often than not, it takes several attempts with disconnecting and connecting again before I can get on-line. The connected wireless icon appears in the top panel at each attempt which suggests that I am on-line, but I cannot access any web pages or my email so I have to disconnect and try again. HiI have a zte ac2726 modem. When I plug it in (Dell Latitude D620 laptop, Maverick Meerkat), it is detected only after about 5 minutes (i.e it turns up in the Network manager after 5 min). After this I can connect and it works fine. How do I solve the time lag though? ( It has a provision for an SD card, which is detected immediately.)Any help appreciated!
I have a ZTE 3G modem that seems to be fully compatible with Ubuntu. On my desktop that runs 10.10 i can simply plug it in and the system will automatically recognize it and connect the internet.However, on my notebook i'm running the LTS version, and when i plug the modem it detects it as an storage media and mount it as a CD, so i need to eject it every time after i plug, so that the system can detect it as a modem and connect.Is there a way to avoid Ubuntu mounting it?

I'm using a (3G HSDPA)ZTE MF628 modem from KPN (Dutch provider).If I boot with the modem connected, the network manager adds it as an option (have configured it by selected from the supplied default lists).If I however try to connect by selecting that network, the network monitor immediately says "The network connection was disconnected".It doesn't matter if I fill in the PIN in the configuraion or not.Am I missing something? I've just spent 2 days of extensive lurking how to solve this problem. Namely, i have ZTE usb modem, model MF626 T. The sofware provided with it works only under windows. What i tried first was to download hso.ko module (copied to the /lib/modules/`uname r`/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/). Then i downloaded hsolinkcontrol and HSOconnect. Unfortunately, i didn't get those /dev/ttyHS* ports that should appear. Only /dev/ttyUSB*. I blacklisted option module. Then changed occurences of ttyHS* to ttyUSB* in .py sources for HSOconnect. what i get is the popup interface GUI that has "connect" b
