Having a little trouble with a Public Folder which is mail enabled. When an email is sent to this folder we get a bounce back stating that the email alias is no longer valid despite it being so. We appear to have lost everything in our public folder. We had to change a password on our database server that is a data source for Cognos. When I went into Cognos Administration to adjust our data source, it was gone. So I created a new one with the same name as the old one. We then noticed our public folder were empty. I want to set up a public folder that most of the users on the system can access. I want all files there to be read/writeable by the users that have access to that folder. I created a folder in /home to store this stuff since it's a separate partition and persists through upgrades and reinstalls. I created a group with the same name as the folder and added the users to that group and set the group owner and write permissions to that folder to be writeable by that group. Problem is that the files one user creates are not writeable by other users.How is this kinda thing done normally?
Hello, in Ubuntu Hardy I was able to select an option from the Bluetooth Applet to share my public folder. I could then browse this folder and transfer files to it from paired Bluetooth devices. In Ibex, however, there is no such option in the Bluetooth Applet screen. How can I restore this functionality?

I installed a couple of packages libapache2-mod-dnssd, apache2.2-bin, apache2.2-common (I think that was it...) in order to get the default dialogue for sharing files on 10.04 to work (why there is absolutely no automatic configuration tool makes no sense to me) and after uninstalling all of the samba crap I've been beating my head against the wall trying to get to work since I upgraded to 10.04.
