It gives invalid username/password message. I just installed 10g Xe on my computer and installed APEX 3.1.2. Once 3.1.2 was installed the XE Admin app page no longer appears. It looks like it was overwritten by 3.1.2 as the APEX Admin apps use page 4550, as does XE. I restored the XE database and am now back to the inital XE install. My question is how can I install APEX 3.1.2 without losing the XE admin utility?

I have been investigating if we should upgrade 10.2.0.2 two nodes RAC db (clusterware, asm & db) to 10.2.0.3 or 10.2.0.4. We have upgraded our database to version 9.2.0.3.0 from version 8.1.6.2.0. Everything is fine accept a proprietory encryption package that utilises the UTL_RAW package and stores working variables in a PL/SQL Record structure consisting of 6 RAW(4) fields. I need urgently help!!!I have given instructions to our systems support to upgrade an existing APEX 3.0 instance to 3.1.2. The usual stuff. Unfortunately they installed it into the wrong database !!! This was our production system already having 3.1.2 installed. The logfiles contains many errors. But still objects were installed and rows deleted and inserted. Does anyone have experience with a situation like this? Do we have to go back to one of our backups? Or is no damage done? I installed gpfs 3.2.0-0 on SL 50, make World and InstallImages worked, but to start mmstartup, the system told me to install 3.2.0-1. So I tried to update rpms to 3.2.0-1 until 3.2.0-3, but with every patch I´m not able to build World e.t.c.. The site.mcr is the same as I used for gpfs 3.2.0.-0. I am a newbie on linux, my distro is redhat v 5. I found firefox v 1.5 preinstalled on my distro. I downloaded the newest firefox-2.0.0.3.tar.gz I have decompressed the file into /usr/local. Up to that stage everything went fine. Then I have tried to run firefox but nothing happened. I think it is a precompiled version as I didn't find any makefile in it. Being new this is not easy. I even find it difficult to explain what I did or didn't do. So please forgive me for not being clear in this. Can anyone help me here as I am lost? I upgraded from 4.0.3pl1 to 4.0.4. (using the same 'configure' parameters I have used in the past --on Linux Intel 2.2.10).Now when phpinfo() runs it returns 'PHP Version 4.0.3pl1' instead of 4.0.4. HiI have upgrade oracle 10g XE to APEX 3.The only problem I am getting is that some images arent displaying in APEX.An example would be when I look at "Shared Components" then page is missing all the images. If I try and one of the images in a new browser window I get an error like this:The requested URL /i/menu/blank_app_64.gif was not found on this server.Also this image isnt found http://localhost:8080/i/htmldb/builder/schema_compare_ctrl.gifBut this one is: http://localhost:8080/i/htmldb/builder/dw_exp_imp_ctrl.gifIt looks like it hasnt copied the new images over or hasnt update the links
