Hi, I am trying to install the EPSON mini printer TM-T81 usb on ubuntu 9.10 but there are no driver for it. Can you help me in order to advice me how to install that printer on ubuntu?
Hallo, wonder if anyone might help. I'm writing a POS application and have got the Epson Thermal Receipt printer TM-T88ii to work ok, using Ubuntu 10.04.1, CUPS and the Epson Linux driver. It has to print from Firefox. It prints what its told to. However, it is rather slow and too slow for purpose. I've changed fonts and it seems to write Monotype quicker than anything else (i.e. 15 secs versus 21secs for other fonts, of the same text). However, when I was making it work there were times it spewed garbage at an incredible rate. So I know it can print fast, just how do I make it print what I wa

When I installed Ubuntu my epson printer which was installed for Windows stopped working properly. Do I need new drivers and can I get them from a Linux site as I don`t really want to go back to windows.
I have recently bought a Linux computer after using Macs (at home) and PCs (at work). My Linux machine is set up with a widely-used Epson printer. The driver works reasonably well, except that I miss two standard features of the aforementioned other systems: (1) the ability to stop jobs gone wrong (e.g. stopping the printer from "printing" a large binary file inadvertently sent) (2) use of the printer's head cleaning utility.I suspect that (1) could be handled by some combination of the ps, grep, and kill commands, but I haven't found it yet. Currently my only solution to (2) is to p

I selected the appropriate download. For me (Ubunto 9.04 and Epson RX585) that was DEB 32bit package [liblt

I guess you guys can take your pick at which problem you want to tackle.1)We just got an Epson Stylus CX4600 and I can not for the life of me get this thing to print. They didn't give me a connector so I stole the old usb connector off my other Epson as the ports where the same(usb). I ran the set up, they told me to plug in the printer to the computer and turn it on, it goes on and installs all the other software and no test page. But I suppose the drivers are atleast installed. I go to printers and faxes under control panel and add my printer and set the port to USB001 since it's connect to
My old printer died, so I checked on what works in Linux, and found that Epson NX215 is claimed to work-Perfectly-- in Linux. I bought the NX215 and tried to install it through the Common Unix Printing System, which is the usual way of installing a printer, but the printer doesn't print at all. The PC and printer don't seem to be talking the same language. I called Epson and asked for help. Didn't get any solutions form them. So, I went looking for another solution. I have an Epson Stylus D88+ printer, which printed just fine (if a little slowly) under 8.04. Since I've upgraded to 9.04, it doesn't print colours correctly; they are much darker and "muddier" than they ought to be. However, they start to improve as printing goes on, and if I print several copies of the same thing, the colour is nearly right by about the sixth copy.Any suggestions?
Hi, I'm trying to setup network printing to an Epson Stylus Photo 925 printer connected to a WinXP machine. I used the localhost:631 page to do it. I put smb://192.168.2.100/925B as the URI. When I click "Print a test page" nothing seems to happen. The printer is shared on XP with a share name of 925B. On the Ports tab "Enable bidirectional support" is unticked. The XP machine is running Comodo firewall but local network communications are allowed. When I click "Print a test page" the firewall shows a connection from the Ubuntu machine to XP.Now for some reason as

I installed my epson stylus tx420w through cups web interface. I used the PPD file provided by the driver recommended in linuxprinting.org.But when I try to print the test page (or anything else), nothing is printed. According to the diagnostics, the printer status is "Processing page 1...", but it won't go beyond that.I've already tested it, it's fine. But won't work in ubuntu. :(Don't know what's going on...any ideas? Everything seems to be fine. I'm using an USB cable.
I've been trying to get my new Epson NX215 working for about three weeks now, and I'm ready to smash the thing. I got the scanner working using Image Scan!, but cannot get it to print anything. All it does is spit out blank pages till it is out of paper. I have downloaded the driver and have both Gutenprint and Cups.I can get it to print when using the printer in my windows virtual machine, but would prefer to not have to start up vmware every time I want to print something.I'm pretty sure this is a driver or postscript issue as I have used other printers, even an epson, with this exact same m
I have an Epson Stylus-Photo-R200 and tried to print with it.It will not print and just says it is processing. The printer worked before on another computer running Ubuntu 9.04.It then quit printing on that computer also, saying it was processing.I thought I would start fresh and put GOS 3.1 Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy), Kernel Linux 2.6.24 -19 -generic, GNOME 2.22.2 on another computer. This computer just says it's processing. How do I fix this problem?
I have an Epson CX7400 printer/scanner, and in 8.04 it worked fine after installing libsane-extras (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=631781).In 8.10 the scanner does not work despite installing the extras package. Does any one know what changed to break this and what I might do to fix it? I did to compile the iscan driver for it as a replacement, but have had no luck compiling that so far. Any ideas are appreciated!
i bought an Epson CX9400Fax a while back, print quality is ok (sucks ink like mad, though). recently, i ran out of 'cyan' ink. now the darn thing won't let me print/scan/fax at all w/out replacing the ink! i just want to print black-and-white photos and documents, i don't need color at all! is there a way to use my awsome hardy machine to change the printer settings so it doesn't do that anymore? would this be legal? any help is appreciated.
Hi. I have an Epson SX105 printer, and i'm about to set up an Ubuntu machine on my network. I don't have much knowledge of networking printers, so give me a chance I want to know wether it would be possible to share the printer over the network, and also be able to use all the printer software that's on my Mac (the software for the scanner, clean the print head, check ink levels etc..).
I'm running a dual boot system - XP and Ubuntu 7. I've just installed an Epson Stylus DX4450 printer on XP and it worked perfectly. When I booted up Ubuntu it recognised the printer immediately, installed it (clever!) and again, it worked perfectly. Then I must have done something wrong, because every time I start Ubuntu now, the printer goes dead. How can I uninstall the printer from Ubuntu so I can switch off, start again and get Ubuntu to recognise the printer again?
I don't have much experience with ubuntu yet, but I've got a difficulty and need some help, please.I'm running ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron (AMD64bit version) and have installed an Epson Stylus Photo R200 printer with CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.2 Simplified drivers.Needing to have access to ink levels I tried everything: Inkblot - never worked out; mtink - finally worked somtimes, not always, nozzle check unavailable and don't like interface; and at last, after searching a lot found Stylus Toolbox.Installed Stylus Toolbox, but I've got no tray icon, nor option menus. My dad has an old Mac running osx (I think...) with a Epson Stylus C120 (http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Overview&oid=89900) connected via USB. I am setting up a linux photo machine using ubuntu 10, but I have come a bit stuck with printing. My printer is a Epson Stylus px710w which according to openprinting website should work "perfectly". I have intalled Gimp and Gutenprint to drive it.Everything LOOKS good. I can find the printer, see suitable options and make a print. I am trying to install my Epson NX420 printer. I downloaded a driver from openprinting.org. However the installation seems to have stopped and is waiting at "installing dependencies..."What does this refer to?; and why is it stopped?; and how can I get the installation to finish? Also I have the option to select "Terminal" and I am prompted to choose a mail server configuration. I'm not sure what this has to do with printers, and am not sure what to choose or why.Anybody with some experience please help.
I currently own an Epson Stylus SX100 Multifunction Printer, Scanner, Copier (which I can confirm works well with Ubuntu 10.04, but printer ink monitor software or good guess work is required to tell when ink cartridges are empty) and maybe looking to upgrade for one with a screen. Can anyone tell me if any of the following work with Ubuntu 10.04 from a standard install (no with additional drivers needed):Epson Stylus SX415Epson Stylus SX218Epson Stylus SX425WEpson Stylus SX515W
HiI must confess I've never attached a printer to my Linux PC since installing over a year ago. However I'd now like to print. Before I dig my old printer out of the loft (an Epson Stylus Photo RX520) can someone please provide some advice.Firstly will it just work when I plug it in via the USB or do I need to install drivers? I've looked on http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting and cannot find a driver for this printer. Does this mean I'm stuffed? This is a printer/scanner but for now I'd be happy with printing. I dread the thought of having to boot into Windows to
I'm using a Toshiba laptop, and I cannot get anything to print. When I connected the USB cable, ubuntu recognized the printer as Epson STYLUS NX100,but it is in fact NX105.I tried to find the newer drivers, and they seemed to be included.I did the printer troubleshooting thing, and it did not conclude anything usefull. It worked back when I was using Windows Vista, so I don't think that the printer is physically broken. The ink light is on, but that should not be empty yet.
How do I set up an Epson all-in-one printer in Lubuntu? I'm used to only HPs and setting up with hiplip. How's it different with an Epson. My client did check the Linux friendly printer list, so I know it should work.
I was able to get Epson Stylus TX111 working with Ubuntu 8.04, with all updates installed. This method assumes you have CUPS installed. It is important to use CUPS for adjusting final settings for this printer.!!This method is useful for a large number of Epson devices.Procedure:1. select the printer model number fromwww.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL1.do2. download the following files>> iscan_2.24.0-4_i386.deb>> pips-snx110-ubuntu8.04-3.8.0-CG.tgz>> user-manual.txt3. install the iscan debian package which is the scanner driver, then connect the device. this should get the s

Upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 over the weekend, my Epson DX4000 worked fine before with me using CUPS and PIPS Lite. Now I'm having real problems, it's very much hit and miss, I've had the printer printing once, but must have PIPSlite installed to report back on ink levels (the software channel programs won't report this). At this moment I've been through http://linux.avasys.jp/drivers/pipslite/1.3.0-2/README with a fine toothcombe, I have removed CUPS and re-installed, I've done everything I can think of and still having problems.Right now I'm up to the point of CUPS reporting a Pipslite wrapper

We are using an EPSON LQ 1150 for printing certain reports. It works very fine at our end but with the same settings and the same kind of printer the reports are getting cut when printed at client site. But one strange thing is that our client is having many printers. The report prints correctly with some printers but gets cut with other printers. We have observed one thing that when the report is opnened from a PC whose default printer is not the above mentioned then the printer settings get changed. Is there a way or storing the printer settings for a report irrespective of the PC on which it
