I am currently running Ubuntu 11.10 but I would like to duel boot with Fedora 16. The the reason for this is I am studying for the Linux system admin' certificate and I would like some experience of using an RPM distro - without having to give up Ubuntu of course! Several months ago I formatted my drive with G-Parted and installed Fedora 15, but while my Ubuntu partition was safe I couldn't access it. I know how to do this on Ubuntu with sudo dpkg -i, but don't know the Fedora 16 equivalent of this command. When I select all the RPMs and hit enter, it opens an individual window for each one. HiOkay first off i am trying to install Fedora 9 onto my Dell 1530 laptop which currently has Windows Vista home premium installed on it. I installed Ubuntu 11.10 x64 on my new laptop with an ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad (first mouse I've had with two finger scroll, love it!). However, in 11.10 this mouse doesn't work right. When I double-tap and hold on the titlebar wanting to move the window it can't be done. The mouse cursor changes into the hand but goes back to pointer right away so I can't move the window this way. I have to use the mouse button. I'm so used to use tapping on the pad to move and click that I can not get used to having to use the mouse button again, so this is a real bummer. This is an unexpected problem:The computer is an Acer Aspire One with a 120 GB hard drive. I decided to load Unbuntu 8.04.1 in the extra space, and I got it loaded. I set it up to load Linpus Lite by default.
