I'm having a problem with a query that contains ORDER BY and LIMIT, acting on a table with 800,000 rows. The query always returns an error: ERROR 3 (HY000): Error writing file '/tmp/MYRnGdTq' (Errcode: 28) However, the /tmp filesystem has 800MB of free space so I don't think that's the real problem. The query is basically: select max(timestamp) from mytable group by somecolumn order by 1 limit 10 If I remove EITHER the "limit" or the "order by" clause, the query runs to completion. From time to time on our database, I will see queries that usually take less than a second to execute take 100+ seconds with writing to tmp table showing up in the processlist. I think they eventually get killed when they reach the max timeout. I have tried to optimize the few queries that get stuck in this hung state. I've been using synergy for a while and never had any problems. I recently started having periodic lost connects only on my Ubuntu machine after upgrading to 7.10 and then again on Intrepid 8.10.I have 3 machines at home: OSX, Ubuntu, and Windows. The application I am working recently started having an Error writing to memory. There were no code changes, but this error just started happening when running the exe but not from Visual Basic. It also works when I do a start with compile. Only the built exe fails.I have tried modifying compile options but that doesn't help either.
