Oracle plz explain these listener.log entries

I am having these entries in my listener.log:

service_died * bluedart * 12537
service_update * smart * 0

Its coming frequently(every minute).My database has become very slow.It shows a lot of odd inactive sessions.Are the entries related to my problem.Plz tell me what is the meaning of these messages.
