I'm hoping this will get to whoever manages the downloads for this site. I'm letting whoever it concerns know that the cpio archive portion of 10gr2_db_sol.cpio.gz (873,334,160 bytes) (cksum - 1491417549) has an error while trying to unarchive using cpio -idmv < <filename>. In the terminal when I do this I get an error saying, Bad magic number/header. If you get a chance you may want to verify the download file and make sure it unarchives properly or get a working download on the site.
We need to install Oracle 10g Rel 2 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0. There is a list of packages that needs to be installed first before installing Oracle on Red Hat Linux. Our problem is most of the packages can't be found anywhere in the internet. We're hoping that these packages are already installed after we install Linux. (During the time of this post, we're installing the red hat linux.) Do you guys know where we can get these? Any links?
Here is the link where the software requirements is specified.

I think the file to download Oracle 10g Release 2 for Solaris Sparc 64 has incorrect format.
After download I try to do as you suggest:
guzip file
But the result is:
gunzip: 10gr2_db_sol.cpio.gz: invalid compressed data--format violated
Could you check this
